Cutting-edge Training, Right Here at Home

Thanks to ongoing community and township support, the Abington Township Fire Department (ATFD) has a tool in its arsenal to combat today’s time‐challenged volunteers – a fire training facility located within township boundaries.

What started out as a Drill Tower built in 1958 has evolved into a complete and wide ranging training facility that includes a 3 story Burn Building and other hands on training features.

In addition, a classroom facility is also available for lecture oriented training activities.
